Getting a code

GetCheckedOnline is currently available through six LifeLabs in Vancouver, five LifeLabs on Vancouver Island and three LifeLabs in the BC Interior.  Promotional codes are needed to create a GetCheckedOnline account and are available through clinics and campaigns in each participating city or town.

Vancouver

If you live in the Greater Vancouver area, you can get a code through the BC Centre for Disease Control STI clinics and any Health Initiative for Men health centre.  You can either go to the clinic in person to pick up an information brochure with a code, or you can call the clinic and ask for a code.

Vancouver Island

If you live on Vancouver Island, you can get a code through posters and information cards at various health units, clinics, community organizations, and public spaces in and around Victoria, Langford and Duncan

You can also ask for a code by calling the Island Health Communicable Disease Program between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday at 250-388-2221 (Victoria local) or 1-866-665-6626 (toll-free).

NOTE: These phone lines sometimes experience technical issues and callers are not always able to connect to the Communicable Disease Program.  If this happens, please try again at a later time.

Interior

If you live in or near Kamloops or Nelson, you can get a code through posters and information cards at various health units, clinics, community organizations, and public spaces in and around Kamloops and Nelson.

You can also ask for a code by calling the Interior Health Communicable Disease Unit between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, at 1-866-778-7736 (toll free).
